About Sunrise Hope Foundation

Sunrise For Hope Foundation is a charitable Non-governmental Organization dedicated to erasing poverty, opening the minds and shaping the future of Orphan children in Tanzania Africa. We create and support self-sustainable communities that provides a loving, nurturing, family environment to Tanzanian’s orphaned and impoverished children including Food, clothing, shelter, education and healthcare.

Our primary goal is to care for Orphans and impoverished children with unconditional love. Our plan is an entire community transformation. We believe that “IT TAKES A VILLAGE”-literally! Our plan is to build a village, to create a self-sustainable community that provides a permanent and loving home for Orphans children and teach them through everyday living on how to improve their lives and how to care for the environment.

Within this community, we will impact lives so that the Orphaned have a family again, a sense of belonging the hungry will be satisfied, the abandoned will feel supported, the poverty and lack will transform into abundance, the shy children into confident. Young women and men that will, intern help the communities around them. Through your support of donation or volunteering, we aimed to bring hope, love and sustainability to orphans and impoverished children. With a median age of 18 years in Tanzania, children represent a large majority of it’s population and face tremendous challenges, they are directly affected by poverty and lack of essential human rights. SOS Children village estimated that 1,300,000 children are orphans in Tanzania due mainly to HI/AIDS. Tanzania has demonstrated regular commitment to children’s rights protection and the situation is improving year by year.

Sunrise For Hope was found on 2022 with the aim of giving hope to an individual child mostly who are Orphans and those who are living in extremely poverty or single parent family with low income without leaving away women (widows) in the community.

Initially our major concern was to deal with only orphans in Tanzania but after starting operating for couple days then we realized that the major cause of poverty in our community is a low level of education whereby the big number of children do not attend the school because of low income from their families therefore they need everyone’s help because I can make changes, you can make changes and we can make changes.

Many parents can’t afford to support their children by buying them school items, paying fees and other related expenses. Sunrise For Hope Foundation is the father and mother of many children in Tanzania where they will get quality education, three meals a day, health care, school uniforms and many other necessities. We are strongly focusing on the most important aspect like educating the community on how to raise kids by considering their sustainable and independent future.

WHAT WE DO AS A FOUNDATION

We better the lives of children in need. Many children in our local community find themselves without the family support. They are often orphaned or their parents cannot provide for them.  This is where Sunrise for Hope comes into play.

Children enter in our care as young as 2 years old. Once under our care, we feed and educate them until they reach 6 years old where they join primary school if they get sponsors. We strongly believe in developing the entire individual child. We help the orphans and vulnerable children in different ways by providing:

1. Education (pre-school in our center) and primary school when they are sponsored.
2. Health care (Twice a month health check-up)

• Shelter/clothing. We give these basic necessities to vulnerable children living in harsh conditions. Our limited physical facilities and limited staffs prevent us from being able to serve all the children and community who are truly in need of our services. Being an NGO, means we do not get financial support from the government.

We have limited funds to run other necessities. Lack of critical infrastructure etc. makes fulfilling our mission more challenging on a daily basis. We continue to struggle to attract enough sponsorship or donations from volunteers and visitors. Currently, we have some goals/future plans like:-

1. Start our poultry project.
2. Construct staff and administration offices.

• Construct staff quarters and volunteer guest house

1. Construct a training school for skills such as Animal husbandry, agriculture, Welding, tailoring, Electrical work, language and computer skills.
2. Purchase vehicles for greater transportation of both children and staffs.
3. Build our own school for the children.

HOW DO WE SELECT THE CHILDREN?

We reach out to the community to find children in need and then get them cleared by the department of social welfare in Tanzania or village councils so they can be under our care. Our main sources of income or revenue is donations from Tourists or volunteers. We also get small grants and monetary gifts from our friends.

We also arrange safaris to all Tanzania’s National Parks. There are more than 15 different National Parks and reservation areas in Tanzania. This is another source of revenue or income to our foundation. Our safari trips vary from one day to any number of days.
